"Real change happens when every part of you feels heard, at home, at work, and inside yourself."Megan Nisenson
Megan Nisenson is a licensed psychotherapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with clarity, resilience, and connection. She is licensed in CT, NY, FL, VT and SC.
As a wife and mother of three, Megan brings both professional expertise and lived understanding to her work. She knows firsthand how complex and demanding family life, personal growth, and career transitions can be, and she meets her clients with warmth, empathy, and practical guidance.
Megan earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Fordham University and her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University. She began her clinical career at a Connecticut Youth Services Bureau where she worked with youth and families, led school-based therapy groups, and supported mental health programs from elementary through high school.
Her experience expanded into clinical supervision and behavioral consultation for a state-funded agency providing in-home services to families in crisis and those with special needs. At Fairfield Counseling Services, a community-based mental health center offering accessible care, Megan deepened her expertise in family systems therapy while supporting clients from childhood through adulthood.
Since founding her private practice in 2014, Megan has offered highly personalized, evidence-based care for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Her approach is grounded in deep listening, collaboration, and the belief that meaningful change is possible at any stage of life.
